“We’ve got a healthier, safer environment for our staff and supply chain workers”
I’ve been a member of IOSH for three years. The reason I joined was to make sure that we are learning best practice and spreading that word among our supply chain and across all of our staff.
DriBuild signed up to the No Time to Lose campaign to ensure that we were learning best practice from IOSH, to look at carcinogens in the industry and how they are created and to learn from that.
The campaign gave us advice, we could go on the website and get access to some great briefings that came out. It also put us in touch with other members.
The culmination of our efforts means that each and every task we undertake on site is carried out diligently, using the correct PPE, the correct methods of extraction and in a safe manner. Working with our clients on a wide variety of projects, such as the new Giraffe House at The Wild Place in Bristol, it’s essential that we are able to cascade best practice efficiently and effectively throughout the entire supply chain.
Being able to collaborate with IOSH and other members of IOSH is absolutely fantastic. It means we’ve got a healthier, safer environment for our staff and supply chain workers. At the end of the day, that’s what we all want.
